«I hope to share the rich resources which I found in St. Petersburg through an exhibition that will feature the significant work created by Jewish photographers in Stalin’s Soviet Union. The Likhachev Fellowship provided extraordinary access, giving me an opportunity to become acquainted with the work of previously unknown photographers as well as publications and periodicals from the period following the Bolshevik Revolution through World War II.  In addition, I was fortunate to meet academics with vast expertise in this subject and they greatly enriched my understanding of the history and material culture. The Fellowship was a truly productive, memorable and enjoyable experience».
