Tanya Chebotarev

Tanya Chebotarev is Curator of the Bakhmeteff Archive of Russian and East European History and Culture, Columbia University. Her research interests include Alexei Remizov and his archival holdings. In St.-Petersburg, she worked at the Manuscript department of the Russian National Library and the Pushkin House. She hopes to continue her research on Remizov and Zamiatin in collaboration with her Russian colleagues.

«I would like to extend my deepest thanks to the Likhachev foundation and The Yeltzin Foundation who came up with the idea of a cultural fellowship of this magnitude.  I came to St.-Petersburg with a very specific project related to a well-known Russian émigré writer Alexei Remizov and returned home with a deep understanding of many issues relevant to my research.  I am also thankful for being able to develop and sustain a truly international network of colleagues, and collaborate on topics vital to the academic and non-academic communities both in the United States and Russia».
