He has a sub-specialty in devising theater (working without a pre-written script based on unique subject matter). He is currently writing/creating a theater piece about the lives of early Enlightenment scientists titled The Transit of Venus. He is particularly interested in the work of famous Russian scientist Mikhail Lomonosov. The production is going to be an attempt to dramatize Lomonosov’s life, philosophy and scientific discoveries.

“I had a fantastic time during my visit to St. Petersburg. Through the help of the Likhachev foundation I was able to conduct vital research on a new project on Mikhail Lomonosov.  Through the foundation's help, I was able to meet with a scholar of Lomonosov, and spent several days studying his archives, artifacts, and papers at the Kunst Kamera.  During my time in St. Petersburg, I was blown away by the generosity and helpfulness of the staff of the Likhachev foundation. They provided access to archives, arranged meetings, and had a fantastic team of translators which allowed me to learn so much in such a short period of time. The Foundation arranged for me to attend four different theater productions, and tour museums, theaters and cultural sites throughout St. Petersburg.   Finally, the friendships that I was able to make while I was in St. Petersburg and through the fellowship were absolutely invaluable. I cannot begin to thank the Likhachev foundation enough for such a remarkable experience”.
