"The Likhachev Foundation were an enormous support to my work as Editor of Russian Art & Culture and Director of Russian Art Week in London. The cultural fellowship was a fantastic opportunity to meet other curators and academics working on Russian culture. It was a great way to network with other professionals in our field and to build links with museums, theatres and other institutions both in Russia and around the world. The access we had to meet the top people in St Petersburg was incredible. I am very grateful to the Foundation for arranging my visits to meet with the directors of various State Russian museums and also setting up interviews for me with leading curators and theatre directors.

The whole group enjoyed a very special visit to Peterhof for the annual opening of the fountains at the summer palace, something I will never forget!

This was an invaluable trip and as a result I have built a network of museums and galleries who Russian Art & Culture can work with going forward and I also have various exhibition projects in the pipeline following from the connections built during the fellowship. We will be publishing a series of articles about the other fellows' Russian cultural projects and also covering numerous Russian cultural events in St Petersburg following the visit".
