"The Likhachev Cultural Fellowship was an invaluable opportunity to work in St. Petersburg. The Likhachev Foundation and the St. Petersburg Association for International Cooperation organised my programme and set up access to archives. This meant I was able to meet local specialists and to get a lot of work done in a comparatively short period of time. My aim is to mount an exhibition about Russia during World War in Great Britain. The Likhachev Cultural Fellowship enabled me to source photographs and printed materials, including paper toys, confectionary wrappers and charity badges for the exhibition. The Likhachev Cultural Foundation also organised a social and cultural programme for the fellows and meeting the other fellows who each had fascinating projects, contributed greatly to a very stimulating and enjoyable experience".
