During her time at MTV3 Finland as a scriptwriter and filmmaker, she contributed to the creation of documentary films for television – such as The Soviet Woman, Ilya Repin 1844-1930 and Ilya Ehrenburg.

My project is a documentary film on Russian writer and artist Leonid Andreyev, focusing on his stunning colour photographs, most of them taken between 1908 and 1914. Having made pretty much research in Finland, I absolutely needed a pre-filming recce to St.Petersburg. The Likhachev fellowship has set me on track to achieving my aims. A brilliant team, the Likhachev executives had prearranged meetings with experts, professionals and researchers. Time-wise, two weeks in St. Petersburg is both a generous and a fair span, allowing me to work efficiently in archives, also traveling to Viborg and its Andreyev archive, based at the Castle, as well as, to the Karelian Isthmus, twice, for pre-shoot reconnaissance of possible filming locations.

A valuable learning experience, the fellowship allowed me to meet extraordinary people, the fellow members of our group with their highly interesting projects and I sincerely hope we can keep in touch in the future.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my infinite gratitude to the Likhachev Foundation for selecting my project, and indeed, supporting my participation in the Cultural Fellowships in Russia program.
